Nice to see the Senators finally got around to promoting the already 26-year old Taffy Wright this year. It’s not like they had a surplus of talent before he finally got the promotion. The young man has serious potential, as we can see from his .394 batting average. Hope he has a long and successful career.
Agreed, sir. I also think this DiMaggio kid on the Yanks will slow down considerably as soon as American League hurlers figure out how to pitch to him.
No NL stats, eh? I’d be interested to see those, too, when you’ve got the time.
NL league leaders are included under the AL ones on page 2. And there was a NL team stats report in Week Five’s Gazette.
How about those Red Hot Sox? What have the Yankees done against them so far? And when can we expect their next encounter? Off-topic P.S. – great interview with Scott Simkus in Outsider Baseball Bulletin.
Yanks are a paltry 3-6 against them so far, which is very troubling. The next time they play is a three-game series at Fenway starting July 8th. Thanks on the interview! I just added a link to it underneath today’s Gazette.
